Holiday Decor Inspiration

I don’t know if it’s because I recently turned 30, or a flurry of inspiration from my recent following of a slew of interior designers on Instagram, but this holiday season is involving an ousting of ornamentation, a decor disruption, a refurbishing of furnishes per say. It’s time for a holiday decor updates! Gone are the days of taped tinsel on the walls of a college dorm room, holiday-themed dollar store decor, and red solo cup reindeer, and hello to modern metallic accents, mini bottle brush and balsam fir trees, mature tablescapes, vintage keepsakes, and nostalgic figurines. For me, the key to my updating process will be to combe the meaningful family mementos with contemporary decorations that will last year after year — classic, modern looks that feel unique and one of a kind.

As such, I wanted to share five, festive photos that are inspiring our refresh of holiday decor this year. I’ll be posting some photos of my favorite finds in our apartment in the coming weeks. Check them out below and let me know what you think!
